Faradena is a full time T'ai Chi Chuan instructor, community musician and massage therapist. Trained at the Sylvia Brearley School in Harrogate, achieving an ITEC Anatomy Physiology and Massage Diploma in June 2000.
Since 2001 she attended postgraduate courses with the Holos Massage School and the Middlesex School of Complementary Medicine.
Faradena is a TCUGB (2004)and TCCKF (2005) recognised T'ai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung instructor and is a teacher for Grey Heron Internal Arts. In 2009 she qualified in Pulsing with Guy Gladstone. She teaches T'ai Chi Chuan in a variety of settings for adults and children including one to one with children with additional needs. As well as classes for adults with multiple and complex disabilities using a combination of T'ai Chi Chuan, massage and music to stimulate the senses and improve range of movement. She also does one to one and small group sessions in music for well being and practises as a massage therapist.
She specialises in deep tissue work and movement during her treatments, using a combination of massage techniques and postural exercises derived from T'ai Chi Chuan. Because of the knowledge of T'ai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung, Faradena has specialist treatment programmes available for musicians, sports practitioners, other therapists, children and adults with physical or learning difficulties or emotional/behavioural difficulties. Faradena is available for private classes in T'ai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung
